Watch A New ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Trailer

The Spider-Man franchise has gone through so many iterations that one wonders what’s left to add to the character. But the folks at Marvel are going to give it a go anyway with Spider-Man: Homecoming!

The previous Spider-Man films were in the hands of Sony alone, but thanks to some wheeling and dealing, both Sony and Marvel Studios have co-control of the character. We got a glimpse at the new MCU Spidey in Captain America: Civil War, with Tom Holland stepping into the webslingers costume. And you know what — he was great. Holland’s jokey, youthful Spidey was one of the best elements of that film, so perhaps Marvel can keep that momentum going with Spider-Man: Homecoming, the first stand-alone MCU Spider-Man film.

Homecoming begins with Peter wrestling with a return to his normal life in Queens after being recruited by Stark and surviving his first huge superhero battle,” according to an article in USA Today. “‘He literally just went to Europe with the coolest clique of them all,’ says co-producer Eric Hauserman Carroll. ‘And now he’s back with the academic decathlon and the mathletes and going, ‘What am I doing here?’’

In addition to Holland, the film will feature Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, Marisa Tomei, and Robert Downey Jr. A brand-new Spider-Man: Homecoming trailer has just arrived, and you can check it out below.  Spider-Man: Homecoming opens July 7th, 2017.
