Listen To an Exclusive Track From ‘The Great Wall’ Soundtrack

Universal Pictures is releasing The Great Wall in the US on February 17th, 2017. The film, the largest ever co-production between China and the US and the first film to be released by Legendary East, the Chinese wing of Legendary Entertainment, is an epic historical fiction action-adventure monster film directed by Zhang Yimou.

The film features a score by Game of Thrones composer Ramin Djawadi. In his review of the soundtrack, our own Patrick Phillips said, “The Composer’s work on Game Of Thrones has transcended both its small-screen origins and the fantasy genre itself to become something of a pop-culture phenomenon. To the point that one cannot even think about the show without humming its intro music. Djawadi’s music for The Great Wall may not reach quite the same zenith, but it’s still a big, bold entry into the composer’s growing oeuvre,” adding: “There’s a savage beauty in it that I can’t quite explain in words. You have to hear it to understand.”

We have an exclusive track from the soundtrack for you below. The score will be available on CD and digital download through Milan Records this Friday, with a vinyl release to come in Late March 2017. Ramin Djawadiwill be going on tour as a part of the Game of Thones Live Concert Experience next year, details and dates can be found here. Listen to the exclusive track from The Great Wall below.
